It's beginning to look like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Doha, the stores have put up decorations and Christmas trees even! The only thing missing is family, friends, negative temperatures and snow!! It's still hard to get use to palm trees and 60/70 degree weather, it just doesn't feel like Christmas is coming. One thing we miss greatly is our annual Christmas tree farm adventure, for the last two years we had to put up our fake tree, but it works and it provides some holiday spirit. We will not know what to do with cold temperatures when we get back next year, Hannah now thinks the 60s are cold, boy does she have a rude awakening!! We wonder if Nathan even remembers what snow is! And Madison will be introduced to it for the first time when we move back!! Here we are putting up our Christmas tree and our ornaments from our travels, from Grandma's and some homemade ones that we made last year!

Working on assembling the tree, kids helped do some fluffing!

Daddy working hard on putting the branches on.

The finished product without the lights and decorations!!

Lights are on!

Our stockings have grown! We have the pleasure of Grandma Sartain visiting this year so we have a extra stocking just for her!!

Grandma gave our little Madison some booties for her Christmas ornament.

Grandma also brought us an extra treat from the US! Mmmm...candy canes!!

Hannah topping off the tree with the star.

The finished product!

The lights in action.

My silly elves.

The kids love to have movie night which includes popcorn and M&Ms who doesn't love something salty and chocolate!! So they decided to end the evening by watching Rudolph!!
