Little Red Update

Well Little Red was a great addition to our family, however it was time for him to say good-bye on Christmas Eve. He had such a fun time here! Here are some more pictures of what he was up to the last few weeks. Hannah made him a note to take with him to the North Pole, it told him that we were moving to Lees Summit, so he would find us next year! She was worried he might not find us if she didn't let him know!!

Little Red worked his magic to give the kiddos breakfast, nothing like some good ole snow doughnuts and candy canes!!

Playing Candy Land with his new friends!

Hannah loves to draw on her board so Little Red decided to show her he can draw too!

Hiding in the tree, playing Hide and Seek!

Reading some stories with Nathan's tag reading system!

Little Red wanted to surprise the kids in the morning by helping them with their milk!

He wanted to go to school with Hannah, but Hannah told him he needed to stay home!

Taking a train ride to the North Pole, it didn't get him to far!

Left a note from Santa for the kiddos, he got this idea from a few of his elf friends back in the States!

Since there is no snow in Doha, he got in the flour to make a snow angel!!

Tea anyone, wanted to fit in with the European culture!

Guarding the presents that the grandparents sent!

Really wants to get out and see this city! How about the car seat?? Still didn't get to go out!

Chocolate anyone!!

Good-bye gift and letter for the kiddos!

Hannah's letter for Little Red to take with him so he knows that we are moving to Lees Summit next year!!

Carol comes back to Doha

What can I say about how I feel when someone chooses to come visit us in the desert! We are ever so grateful that people take the time to get on a plane and fly all the way over here, just to see us! It takes a 2 hour plane ride to Washington and then another 14 hour plane ride to Doha, so to say the least we feel extremely blessed. My mother in law has made the trip twice to see us since we have moved here. This time around she timed it out to be here for the arrival of our new addition Madison and let me tell you I was extremely grateful to have a helping hand when I came home from the hospital! Here is a small caption of her trip here.

Talk about being a trooper, Nathan got her to sit down and play some MarioKart on the Wii.

Carol wanted to see the Corniche again while she was here and what a pleasant day it was. You can see the West Bay buildings in the background along with the Persian Gulf.

After the Corniche we met Mike for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants. All visitors require a stop at Turkey Central for a yummy turkey shawarma.

Mike and Carol waiting patiently for our food!

Hannah and Nathan are not big fans of the local fare so they enjoyed their usual peanut butter and Jelly and some chocolate pudding for dessert!

Nathan tried to hide from the camera, but Mommy always knows how to get him to look!

We had to capture Madison's first time at Turkey Central!!

The food has arrived and what a wonderful feast!

Look at this delicious food!

The last time Carol visited we didn't make it out to the Singing Dunes, so we had to introduce this wonderful spot to her. We went in the morning which is unusual for us and would not recommend it to anyone. The sand was hot!! Carol is starting her journey up the hill.

It's hard work what a trooper she was!

From the top, come on Carol you are almost there!

Carol made it!!

Now it's Mike and Hannah's turn to go up! They cheated though and went up the less slope area!

All three of them on the top!

Carol working her way down making the Dune sing!!

Mike and Hannah making their music.

Grandma taking a break and playing in the sand!

Doha has a zoo, but it is small compared to what we have in the States, even the KC Zoo seems huge after being to this one. But it gives us something to do and the kiddos enjoy seeing the animals and it cost very little to get in. So we had to take Grandma to the zoo and show her the Doha animals!
